You can tell Frontline really do knock your spots off. (with out a flee in sight)
Unfortunately after this weekend Frontline as we know it now will no longer be. Pete the lead vocalist is taking a well earned break.
The first time we met Pete my daughter was only 18 months old. Pete then with the Dirty Hat Band. was performing at Fort San Antone, he put down his guitar and belted out a fantastic version of the Garth Brooks track Thunder Rolls. Natalie was gob-smacked, This was the point in her life country music took on a new meaning. she obviously didn't understand it, but it moved her.
Well Pete moved all of us that night with his excellent voice and wicked personality. We have tried to see them as often as possible as The Dirty Hat Band, Deguello, and now Frontline.
We had such a fantastic night. With Pete's still brilliant vocals. Colin keeps rhythm on Bass. And Graham at the back. plays wicked lead. There were points in the evening we didn't want to dance because they mesmerized us all. Dancing around on the stage, healthy banter, and quirky jokes kept the audience glued to the stage. Grahams Baker Street guitar solo was a real highlight
They had an overwhelming ovation
(as I knew they would)
nobody wanted to go home tonight.
I really did not want to say good bye.
