We started the morning with expert dance tuition from Roz and Keith's partner dancers and Country Kickers Liners taking us through some great dances.
Then the live music from Bobby D Sawyer, His dreamy American voice, and great personality won over the audience from the start, and warmed everyone up for the day ahead.
Sharing the Morning with Bobby were the Las Vegas Four.

The first time these great friends have performed as a four piece. Bob & Rob (aka Vegas) alongside Maria Lee & Nadine Sommers. This greatly anticipated group were electric, the energy from all of them was contagious from start to finish.
With great country songs and linedance hits form both acts the festival was already off to a flying start.

During the Break at 5.00 to change bands for the evening sets, we were privileged to welcome Choreographer Alan Haywood to the stage. Popping along for the day with his lovely wife Fiona, we had to ask if he could teach a couple. Filling the floor again the keen linedancers learnt Alan's Spooky amongst others, and were very well received

The evening took a different tune with a man who I consider to be best Linedance solo act in our country at the moment Mr. Billy Bubba King. with all the very up to date tracks at the moment, and some classic floor fillers sung with his amazing voice and superb lead guitar, again the dancefloors were full. We had a second dancefloor put down this year as the number of dancers had increased from 2005, and both were used throughout the entire event

Along side Billy Bubba we also saw the diesel cowboys,
his band are up tempo and full of fun, with four excellent musicians and three distint vocals, they interact with the dancers and listeners throughout their performance.

In any festival you need variety, to attract all country music followers. This year we had A real life American singing songs by Alan Jackson and Toby Keith, a young four piece band with fresh songs and new ideas, then an out and out linedance artist, and a four piece real country band to finish. All in all I would say one amazing day, with a little something for everyone's taste.
